like how you can automatically decline duel requests...

maybe they should add an Auto-Decline Friend Request too...

but for me... add me as a friend anytime... my avatar's name is Kabalyero Kidd :)

It's kind of encouraged in a way since your friends list acts like an old school runebook for teleporting around the map.

The larger your friends list the more likely you have someone in or around where you want to teleport to.

It would be helpful if the friends list showed the date that each person was last on. Then I could at least remove the people that probably don't play anymore.

Why is there a need to start yet another thread about this? There is already an existing thread discussing it of which you already have 10 of the 100 odd posts.

That's strange. I went back 20 pages and didn't find a single thread about the friends list.

You can see that if you hold your cursor over their name. It will show last date offline players were online.

I never confirm them, unless I've actually interacted with them in game, or they live in my town. Prior to the Lost Vale opening, I had six. Three were the same person. I've got maybe ten or so now.

But but but they love you and want to be your friends :D

Jokes aside, I just ignore uninvited requests.
If I accept a request I really don't care if they use me as port anchor though. Thats kind of part of the mechanic.
If you want to put a positive spin on it you could say that the system invites you to connect with as much ppl as possible. Which is nice. If you like ppl. I don't:D

I was trying not to have more friends in a video game than real life. But then I accepted a request, which blew that plan...

It's funny to see these posts pop up every once in awhile. People screaming I don't know you, stranger danger! Your not my friend! I lol every time. Older gamers understand why you get random invites. New gamers don't have a clue. It's called SOCIALISING. Something you used to have to do in video games, thus where the MMO part came from, before WoW brought in all the solo world hero's. The people that I wana play an MMO, but I never want to speak to another human being unless I know them.

Everyone plays the way they want, I get that. But MAN you know how to entertain me, when you cry about people trying to be social in MULTIPLAYER mode.

A recent thread on this topic is: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/end-remove-fix-teleport.103357/

Friends I interact with on a daily basis are in my Guild list, so a long, long friends list doesn't bother me in the slightest. If I want to shorten it, a mouseover shows me when the players last logged on. I know who my real friends are.

If people asked to friend me simply to be sociable then I don't think I would have an issue with it. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Anyway, there were a couple of good suggestions here, so I'll put those to good use.

Cuz if you played stuff like WoW.....let's just say that time changed a lot of stuff in the interwebz ^^
