I was actually streaming when this happened too. First the game hard crashed to desktop while running threw town. So I restarted the game and 5 mins later while running threw the same town the game crashed again to desktop, but this time it crashed to my second monitor and moved my entire windows desktop over to monitor 2 and shutdown my first monitor. I restarted my PC and everything is fine again.

Also while in game trying to find out what divides the two king and queen, once you kill the man in the Necropolis the King and Queen get stuck in a loop and you cannot do anything besides them saying that they have to warn the other. You cannot actually progress the quest to find out what divides them.

Still some pretty noticeable graphics lag in towns, nothing game breaking but it's there for sure, especially with the map open.

If you work hard you may have these issues fixed before launch, as well as the whole slew of issues posted in these forums. I hope you can do it, I think your launch date may be a little too soon :) GL Hoping it works out.

It would help if you can zone into the town that was causing problems. Then type /bug it will open this forum. Find your post and hit paste. It will print out a number of details. If you perhaps remember where you were in the town. Did it crash as you were hitting dash perhaps. But it then contains your system spec and zone info and so on

It was repeated a few times on stream and not just in town. It happened in random scenes in game. Twice in town, and twice out and about randomly adventuring. The last hard crash to desktop monitor flip it turned off monitor two instead of one, but crashed all my apps to desktop then crashed desktop and locked up my system.

Kinda hard to /bug when your entire system locks up.

Intel 7700k 980ti 16gigs ddr4 on a Intel 1tb SSD if you need system info. Streaming using NVEC and Xsplit. I can link to the video's if you like. They are public and available for everyone to see :)

What have you attempted so far to troubleshoot this? Have you tried a clean re-install?
Yes, please use /bug at stated. Even if you are logging back in again, that's fine. Without enough information it will just make it all the more tougher to figure out. Your issue is not widespread and seems rather unique to me.

Lemme sum it up. Xsplit is causing the crashing. While playing without Xsplit on, the game seems to run just fine. If I capture the monitor with Xsplit the game will hard crash, and crash everything with it, where as if I capture the game rather than the monitor in fullscreen it works fine.
It's an Xsplit issue, not SotA, that much I was able to figure out. I've contacted Xsplit and told them about the issue, but so far it is a Shroud issue according to them. So instead I just capture the game and in fullscreen now when I stream.

As for the Quest. Logging in and out a few times seems to make things start working. If I run into a quest bug, like trying to enter the Avatars grave. If I stepped out, logged out and stepped back in again a few times, eventually Samuel was there and the quest continued.

The lag in towns. Well, not really much we can do at the moment I suppose. There are alot of custom houses around. I just hope it gets better with time.

@Enziet I use xsplit - it sucks the performance of a machine a lot. Im talking it can take 80+fps down to 20 on a high spec machine. It maybe your machine is just failing to handle that well

This time it actually created an error report when it crashed. Shocked! It never did before!

Just did the same thing this time with OBS instead of Xsplit. Only happens while streaming, and only after playing for awhile.

If you scroll up it has only created a bug report ONE time which I posted. The rest of the time the game crashes, and pulls my system down with it. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ the ONE report it created is up there.

I know what the forum reads but if I /bug it creates nothing. No information. It doesn't even think that the game crashed. There is no bug to report, the game is crashing before it creates a bug or it doesn't even know that it crashed. One time it crashed, the launcher created that report I posted up top. That is ALL I have been given with any kind of information After a hard crash.

When you type /bug it puts into clipboard stuff about your toon and your pc.

If you then come here and paste that into the post it will help

Obviously you can’t do that post crash but proper crash reports should your machine make them get sent to port. However in the mean time this may help port identify the problem.

I'll keep posting these as the game keeps crashing. Now that they are creating reports. Hopefully they help <shrugs>

This one was a hard crash to desktop and shut down both monitors. The other two were just the game crashing to desktop.

That is a pretty good guess. I've figured out that you uncheck full screen in game, then go into the patcher and check off the box that says to play in borderless window mode actually makes the borderless window mode work and takes the game out of full screen. Which has fixed the problem :) No crashes, no lag issues when running in window mode.

Then it would seem your PC cant run at the resolution you were at, it just sucked way too much power. You could buy a new PSU in the grand scheme of things thats a pretty cheap and easy thing to fix
