In a completely unrelated and purely circumstantial coincidence, I notice the authorities at Portalarium as asking us to fill in a form stating the name we want carved on our character's tombstone in the main graveyard....

 

i think is the new land, with some few high tier adventure scenes, and a lot of underconstruction ones...

 

I don't care what happens, my plan is the same.

 

I don't know what will happen but I suspect whatever it is will occur on earth March 27th. In anticipation, I am taking that day off from earth to be in New Britannia to support my fellow Avatars, and prepare for the worst. Batten down the hatches and hold on!

I'm going to say a large explosion in space, followed by chunks flying down to the planet wreaking havoc all over the place until finally the largest piece falls and hits wiping out life instantly for a 4800km radius. The rest of the planet will be covered in ash so thick the vegetation will die off, the air will become almost un-breathable due to the ash. and eventually followed by a deep freeze, due to the ash and dirt in the atmosphere killing off all the rest of the life on the planet. Servers will shut down after that, and they will take all the money and run. The experiment over, proving that gullible people like myself will give money for the promise of a video game, but with no actual video game.

Honestly I have no idea, but I hope it's something cool, maybe LB will login and save us all from impending doom <shrugs> Just have to wait and see. I'll be home for launch, although working that night.

 

The name of the game gets changed to "Tabula Rasa II: Richard Garriott Strikes Back" -- and gets shut down immediately!

Its a brand new dungeon!!! And that's not all Bob! The dungeon will release a new form of magic into the world!!

 

Im seeing a lot of articles about Shroud today. MMORPG, pcgames, Gamespot, etc.

A lot of them are part positive, part gloomy. A lot criticize the archaic UI / wonky controls. Especially the tab targeting.

 

Other- The event and ensuing changes will cause mass hysteria among the Avatars, resulting in a rash of forum flame wars, misinformed posts, trolling, tableflipping, rage quitting, new hate blogs, and dire prognostications about how Shroud will fail within 3 months because literally nobody will want to play the game.

The subreddits will literally implode, leaving a black hole in which the entire Internet will eventually sink into and be lost forever.

People everywhere will start using the word literally when they mean figuratively, and generally making up definitions for words on the fly as suits their agenda.

The President will tweet something about gun violence in Shroud, not realizing there are no guns in the game.

Richard Garriott will be denounced as a paid shill for Electronic Arts as part of a secret plot to force RMT onto all gamers everywhere.

Archery will be banned all throughout Novia except for the Jack of Diamonds and the new PVP-only dungeon.

All the whales will be given a special orb that allows them to play in God Mode, and a special Russian-only area of the forum will be created where only their feedback will be considered by the dev team from here on out.

Ahh... But how would that be different from any other day?
