[POLL] What type of player are you?

PVP in general is an option many go for; the poll would be well served for including this.

Another past time of many is making and continually optimizing builds; also something the poll could use.

Thats a harsh way of putting it, but it's fairly accurate. Immersing myself in the game world is also a big thing. But it's really the mixture and change that makes the game.

 

Can't vote. No real option for me.

 

Those are valid categories, but I thought terms like PVP and PVE were too broad. I wanted a narrower focus. However, I'll add the build tinkering option.

 

We need a "I like to collect and hoard shiny things" option. ><
I've chosen "making stuff" but the reality is, I don't make stuff that often, I just...accumulate stuff.
The fun is in the accumulating.

I mostly like all of the above depending what kind of mood I am in. Thievery and mischief are by far my favorite passtimes but unfortunately the pickpocketing skill in this game is pretty much redundant. I haveny even bothered levelling it because it seems so pointless. If you find someone pvp flagged you are better off just trying to murder them. Ahem, sorry I mean PvP them.

I voted for selling things. I like the idea that I went out into the world and explored, fought villains, harvested crafting items, came back to town with my loot and then crafted an item to sell at my property in game. To me it's the complete package.

 

If I voted, it would be a combination of the world and the story. The repetitive grinding choice is funny.

Don't forget to add "repeatedly entering /drink to explore the true beauties of the world".

 

I need to vote for multiple items:

1st I like to make stuff....

2nd, I like to sell stuff...

3rd, I wish I could buy more stuff, so I can do #1 and #2 more... So...

4th, I grind for more resources, and kill critters, so I can do #1, #2 and #3 more...

 

I'd have to say it's mostly a combination of quests, story, and exploring the world. Can't choose all three, so I just chose the closest one: immersing myself in the game world.

And when I'm not doing those things, I'll randomly break into people's homes and play their pianos and /pukeblood all over their floors. Sorry @scroda!

 

I was looking for "loiter/wander around like an unproductive fool".

but I went with the Immersion option.

The more ambient music/sound the better!

I love to have a mixed schedule of activities during the week. Crafting, decorating and planting/harvesting on some days then mining, gathering and adventuring/exploring on others.

Once in a while I join my fellow guildies on XP runs or drop in to some community event.

For these reasons I've been leveling up slowly over time and it has been the right thing tack for me since I've been able to take advantage of tweaks or improvements to skill/magic trees while avoiding the effects of big nerfs at the same time.

Very happy with the way my main character developed and looking forward to doing it all over again when secondary and tertiary characters become available in R52.

 

I thought this was a serious poll, but reading the options it became apparent that was not so. Actually it is insulting and just not responding is not enough, I had to add this note in hopes that I am wrong and can be pointed to the joke.

 

All jokes aside. I am a "grinder" by profession. Solo play, not many quests yet. I enjoy setting goals in my grinding activities. For example, I may try to beat my last total time at mining 200 ore. I might try to find 30 carapace before I fall asleep at the keyboard. The most fun I have had recently is setting a record for the least time to recoup a max death penalty. I enjoy setting out items on my out of the way vendor at ridiculously low prices just to see if anyone will discover the give away. Lots of ways to have fun here!! Mark me down for grinding to attain the highest level of proficiency with growing excitement as I realize I just might be the best there is!!
