Or we've been always here... watching... waiting... gathering in the shadows...

So what about that Tinfoil hat quest again?

This isn't a review. It's a lesson in search engine optimization.

Sure, "it's a very, very fine game."

I'm just pulling your plonker, the post was humorous and it's main purpose was to demonstrate (As @Earl Atogrim von Draken has just posted) is to demonstrate the ease of getting ranked in Google.

No, of course this isn't the type of content which you would push, but once it ranks it's easy to add useful content.
Port can really be helped by players to aid people navigating the information and content on this site. It does need a strategy though, to enable all the keywords and content types to be lined up, along with an amplification plan of any messaging.

The point of course is not to get everyone to buy and play Shroud, that's nuts. But to effectively and efficiently communicate to those who would love a game like this.
We need to persuade those who would love to be a part of what we have here to open up their credit card and join us on the journey.

I know what you try to do, but in your other post "When is the Shroud of the Avatar release date?" you wrote at least the answer to this question in our post and people who search for it could find a answer :)
If you push the ranking and people see a post from the official source, they should atleast get what they are searching for.

Is this really good for Google? Readers don't get an organic article. They are "lured" here with the expectation to read a detailed Review but they get just a few sentences in a forum written by a player... Is this what SEO is for?

@Lord_Darkmoon lol, yes we lured them with the "preciousssss"
"Good for Google", when I go to MacDonalds I don't think, "but is this good for Burger King?" They are simply another business and have an algo which rewards some things and not others.

If you don't get the thinking behind the post, then you don't get it.

SEO is a communication tool. The goal is to reach as many people as possible to promote a message to those who would respond to it. If you don't have effective SEO, then someone else gets to promote their message over yours. You lose.

I don't think that it is that easy and I write many articles a day. I always have to take care that the articles I write are not only SEO optimized but texts that offer value to the reader. If I write a Review about a game and just have a Collection of keywords in the text then maybe the text gets listed on Google at a high ranking but what do the readers get out of it? They click on the link, see that the text doesn't offer what they were expecting and won't come back again thereafter because they feel "cheated".

So, SEO is important but having texts that offer value to the readers is equally important because without value you just generate a click and not a satisfied customer who maybe wants to stay on the site or come back again.

It's all relative, most do find it hard. But when you get in the flow, it's actually straight forward.

It's obvious what the intent of the post was.

    Absolutely nothing wrong with brevity.

Noble cause, but it doesn't seem to work. No results on first 5 google pages for both your posts.
