Demig goes silent as I had neglected to speak with Essen before I left Valhold palace.

Details:

After speaking to Grannus and giving him Brigid's amulet. I then had the private conversation with Mara
and received the warrant. I then rushed to Demig with the warrant. Now he refuses to speak with me and I
feel it is because I lack a token I was supposed to receive frm Lord Essen. I returned to the palace
after speaking to Demig , but Essen refuses to speak with me. Even after replaying Mara's talk.

Is there any hope for me ? Is the Path still not complete. From my research I am not clear on this.

 

Actually, the issue seems to be Essen won't talk to the player, ever. I tried talking to him before talking to Demig or leaving the palace, and Essen just made the truth salute and never spoke. I've encountered other NPCs who won't speak with the player as well, such as the female guard who overlooks the market stalls in Ardoris.

 

Got the same issue. Essen does not talk to me.
I delivered the warant to Ferig and tried to talk to Essen afterwards but he doesn't react.

It is in a fairly buggy stage, especially that part. I would not recommend trying to continue beyond that for now until we get a chance to take another pass at it.

 

I have the same problem. Talked with Mara, then Ferig, and then went to talk to Essen and it won't initiate a conversation.

 

Ok. Well the reason I thought it was my fault. Is that I left the throne room traveled to my next contact then came back before I remembered to talk to Essen.

 

is this still the case? The advice to proceed no further dates back to end of August.

Ok, i got past it. Now im just trying to remember how i did it.

 

Spoiler/LOL/Workaround - stay with him, wait it out, and have a break for 15 min. I usually just enjoy the environment. I was standing near him, and i think he started a conversation with me, eventually. Was a nice rest actually.
