Congratulations on launch and good luck as the population soars.

Now the dev team can take a few months off and relax.

 

That used to be the way it was... Lord British would often take the development team to the Bahamas or some similar exotic location after a major title shipped...
Now games are live services, so not so much anymore... (Yes, I know you know this, I saw your winkie smilie. )

Or, you'd think so...

The development team for Battlefield 3 at DICE took off for Cyprus for a week the day after the game launched... It was a horrible launch... And the development team was unavailable for a week.

Congratulations to Portalarium and all of us who've been here through Early Access.

Thank you SOTA for 3 yrs of fun already... and now I can OFFICIALLY have fun... hehe!

 

I agree congratulations are in order. Only 30 minutes til R51 is taken down. What an absolutely amazing roller coaster ride this has been to get to Launch day. And no I do not ever want to do that again lol *sighs*. Thank you community and developers who have made this all possible. It is truly amazing. I am sure we all are awaiting stepping into the game after patching R53 with bated breath. Here is our perfect song dedicated to everyone of you and to the much more that is still coming for this game.

 

There's no turning back now! Can't wait to log in after patch and see the new world.

This has definitely been the best "Beta" experience I have ever had with any game... and I've been in many of them. I can't say that I've agreed with all of the changes thus far, but I can say that I'm confident this team will deliver a fun and successful game!

I cannot think of a crowd-sourced MMORPG (online, with multiple people, over the internet) that has consistently iterated on a game so openly - with player input (for good or bad) - and that was persistent for such a long period of time through early access that, well, launched. Thanks.

Edit: I truly believe this would be the best example for a case-study in crowd-sourced gaming that should be emulated. Forget what you think about the GAME, I am talking about the WAY it was developed.

 

Its been long road to get to here. The vision goes on. The next several years should be amazing! Congratulations to the Team for getting us here!

Great Job Portalarium! It's been a wild ride, even though I've only been here for part of it. I'm very impressed, you've created an epic work and I think it will exists for tens of years.

 

Good call here Budner. Thank you to everyone at Portalarium for letting us be apart of this journey from conception to a room with some chickens to today. I look forward to many more years with you all my friends.
