I can't get the game to open, there is extreme lag once I click to open the game, and once I've made it to the loading screen it becomes stuck at 50%. Any ideas on how I can get the issue resolved?

Please include your system specs. Are you playing from Steam or using the client launcher from our website? Have you attempted a full client reinstallation to ensure this may not be caused by a corrupt installation?

I am also having this issue - I am running through Steam. I have also tried a re installation but no luck. Over the course of 5 minutes, my game progresses to 94% where it is still sitting.

    My System specs are:

    Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
System Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
    System Model Z97X-Gaming 3

*Update *** It finally logged me in after 10 minutes of loading - the speed even on Fastest Graphics setting is unplayable. Extremely Laggy.

It's giving me the same issue through both clients, reinstalled both versions of the clients already. Same exact issues. Once today I made it in, but it was so laggy I couldn't maneuver out of my house. Today is the first time I've experienced any lag or performance issues what so ever. Also, playing on a Samsung CHG90 QLED Curved 49‑Inch Gaming Monitor. Not sure if that would cause any issue. Some games don't handle it well.

Gentlemen, I found a fix! I hope it helps you as well - under Options, Video - Remove the tick from Peripheral lighting. @Attenwood, before launch the game was working fine for me.

Based on Woftam's comments, do you happen to have peripheral lighting toggled on in Options?

I'll try that when I get home this evening. About to see how the game is running on my work PC, its not as high-end a PC as my home desktop. I'm still wondering why the SotA click Play screen ( first screen opened after clicking the desktop icon) , Login Screen, and loading screen all run very slowly and near unresponsive.

*Update* My work PC is have no issues at all.

@Woftam Can you confirm that if you turn peripheral lighting back on, it goes back into a broken state? What peripherals are you using that would be influenced by this setting?

We're looking into this but currently have not been able to reproduce it on any of our hardware. We have some new lighted keyboards coming soon and we'll try to repro it with those. Until then, just leave it off. Also, HUGE thanks for identifying the problem for us!

    @Attenwood , I use a Logitech G15 keyboard and a Razer Mamba Mouse.

Here is a small video of the issue - if you watch the fire statue, you can see it drop the frame rate the moment I tick Peripheral lighting.

So, my problem was solved by turning OFF peripheral lighting.

    thank you

*Update : The millisecond that I check the peripheral lighting box ON, instant lag, immediate drop in frame rate. So, something is going on there.

Have Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse but I have lighting effects turned off in Logitech settings

    Debug: UE9UX3Ryb3BpY2FsaXNsYW5kX21ldHJvcG9saXNfMDFfdGVtcGxhdGV8UmV2ZXJpZXwoNDc5LjIyNiwgNzEuMTg2LCAtNTkyLjI0NSl8KDAsIC0wLjk5OSwgMCwgMC4wNTIpfDE4NS45NTk0fDEwfDQuNTEwMzE2
    Build 751
    Video setting; "Fantastic"
I have had no latency or login issues on live world yesterday or last QA build (Monday AM). Since build 751 have experienced stalled (98%) login multiple times.

    Steps to Reproduce:
Unticked peripheral lighting got successful login several times.
Re-ticked PL and also got several successful logins.
Did notice screen stuttering during clear weather at midday with an overly bright sun filtering through bamboo leaves.
Hope you find clues in this.

Unticking PL as I have no use for it.
