Just from reading notes players are saying not all features are in on offline mode. If testing it out is what someone wants to help make it better then I say go ahead but if you are expecting it to be all that it can be I might say try again later and truly I don't have the answer but just things I've heard.

It is the same as playing online right? Except we get companions?

Did I read they were working on companions to assist you in offline? or was I dreaming?

no it won't ever be feature complete and the thing is why shoot our foot off by giving this game bad press always? Sure mention things that need fixed but still even with the game needing things and not having features complete yet there are fantastic times to be had in this game. I would hate people to destroy this game. It is my game. If someone does not know how to play the game to have fun I am happy to share things I do. I am waiting on features too but this game was not created as other games. Ideas came from the crowd and got implemented sometimes with little thought I agree but truly nothing is over and I want this game to thrive. It is very young still. I don't recommend players play offline but if they do feedback will only help to make that a better game also one day as well, and if players have no more patience wait it out, but don't destroy the game or try to make it fail because it is not yet for you. For those of us who are enjoying what is there so far we want the game to be around along time and I don't just say this to you but to anyone. I cannot wait for what's next.

Do companions actually do something in offline, or do they just follow you and comment? True companions, like the ones in Ultima, would fight with you and help carry your loot.

Did they ever fix how each patch would wipe out your character progress in offline?

Im sorry, but you read the notes correct?

Features will always be added, and things will always get better.

Ultima Online, Everquest, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, etc. How many of those games had all features, in perfect working order, straight out of the gate? How many of those games evolved over time?

    1. We have the companions (Story text from them is still in work!)
    2. No respawning in a lot of scenes, where it makes no sense.
    3. No player owned towns - no scene decoration beside the developer's story driven.

I think, that makes it different :)

With the finishing work on the Quest Journal until End of Q2 (not only for offline mode, of course), it will be the game we expected :)

I'd like to know the details of how the companions act in offline mode too. Are they like Samael who not only gives hints and explains stuff but will also fight with you against hostile mobs?

Yes. The only difference is that they will accompany you everywhere you go, not just remain within one area. They will comment on points in the main quest now, and will have more conversations added after this weekend.

Ultimate Online killed all games to date. Best pvp game in its prime before they introduced Trammel, **** Trammel.
