okay, tried it again, but the preview on the homepage was completely distorted, probably because of rotating one of the elements... :-(

(already wrote to support, that I didn't approve the blazon)

Everything you mention are current limitations of the system... There are no simple field divisions. The number of Ordinaries are severely limited. You can only change the size of the elements by changing their position on the field, in which case they will scale to the size chosen for that position. There doesn't seem to be a good Preview setting that will 'lose focus' on all the elements and let you see the whole device, however I believe they will submit correctly. You can try submitting... no choice is permanent until you lock the page.

Right now, that is normal as it's the current condition of the tool, and yes, @Rok Yrikk is and will be making improvements to it.

Yes. These are the kinds of things I expect on a shipped game in 2018. If you are going to charge me $25 to change it, then you better be showing me exactly what I'm getting when I submit.

If it makes you feel any better, you (assuming you qualify for the pledge reward) now have 2 complimentary Reward Heraldry Unlock Vouchers on the Add-Ons, etc. tab of your account page. If you don't you should write to support@portalarium.com.

This is a new subsystem... the first iteration published 4 days ago... It's also relatively complex... Between Rok Yrikk unlocking the pages of anyone that requested he do so if the the submission was still in the "Processed" but not "Approved" state between Tuesday and Yesterday, and the granting of the two complementary vouchers to every Backer that qualified for the reward, evidence suggests that they're very aware that this is a new subsystem... the first iteration published 4 days ago... and that it's also a relatively complex one, and not simply an opportunity to wring out a few dollars.

I now have some experience with the system... if you would like to ask me if you think that a submission would look good in-game, I'd be happy to offer my opinion prior to you locking your page.

Should the Heraldry shield already have my approved blazon on it or is it supposed to be blank? Isn't that the point of the item? Mine is just a blank blue field.

Your Heraldry will not automatically appear on your items. It is necessary to apply the heraldry to the items by using the pattern functionality of the crafting system. I've written a quick guide for heraldry at https://sotasmith.com/heraldry/ that covers the process.

Thanks! I didn't want to burn a pattern if it was supposed to already be there. :)

This just doesn't make sense to me. Why not just give us the pattern to begin with rather than an item which is for the sole purpose of destroying?

Actually, I think they're SUPPOSED TO, but it's currently bugged.

@DarkStarr made a post I'm unable to locate at the moment that said they were working on several bugs with the Heraldry System and Related Item, including invisible armors, broken cloth animations, and devices not showing up... It wasn't specific in stating that the granted pieces should be displaying the devices, but as @Balec Fares deCani states, it doesn't make sense to give us those items if their Only Purpose is to be salvaged... why not just give us the Eternal Patterns.

DarkStarr did say that the bugs should be fixed with Monday's patch*...

    Found It! Here.

You'll find you can't use the pattern to apply the device to the granted pieces...
I tried... it's not a 'crafted' item, so the pattern won't work.

If this is indeed a bug, I'll be sad having salvaged a few of the items for the patterns.

If you salvage the shield then you get an eternal pattern that can be applied to a crafted shield. It will then have your blazon.

With the new generator I’m thinking that, with the limited choices, there will be multiple people running about with the same design?

I'm guessing nobody was in to do approvals over the weekend. Anyone been waiting longer than 50 hours so far?
