Heraldry Items Belived Bug

1. Title: Heraldry Armor Items need to be broken to use??

4. Details: I did not have to break my shield to add the pattern to the shield, so my belief is that the armor should not need to be broken to add the heraldry pattern to them. Currently the armor does not show up in the Reshape tool as is, although the shield did without being broken, my shield is still valued at 0. So why is the reward armor needing to be broken and loosing it's pledge item protection this seems like a bug and not the intended purpose.
5. Steps to Reproduce: Go to put the pattern on , pattern will place on shield (without breaking it) you can not place the pattern without breaking all the armor pieces. ***Breaking means turning the armor into an eternal pattern and then adding the heraldry symbol if you turn the item into an eternal pattern it looses it's reward protection***

Not a bug.
You can apply existing non-eternal Heraldry patterns (i.e. 'Pattern: Founder Heraldry Tabard Leather Chest Armor') to unlimited number of crafted chest armor items.

EDIT:
You get 5 x of each non-eternal Heraldry pattern.

 

Did you apply a non-eternal pattern to the reward heraldry shield? Mine is blank with the eternal pattern pre-installed.

 

I was able to reshape the heraldry shield with a pattern, but I couldn't apply the patterns to any of the heraldry armor which shows as blank. They only appear to work on crafted items, though not sure why the shield worked.

 

That is the problem I was talking about @Shadow, without destroying the armor for an eternal pattern I can't apply it.

 

@Lexie any input on this? Founder items should be able to be used as is without breaking for an eternal pattern, or a pattern should be able to be used over the founder tabard without losing its loot/durability protections.
