two years ago, town criers were not automatically put on your compass when you entered a town.

 

Thanks very much for answering, but if you re-read my post, I think you'll see that that wasn't what I was asking.

I was doing some research for a guild mate, and I happened upon the list I referred to above. I don't want to refer my friend to the list if it's not current. I asked if there was a more current one.

I know quite well how to find a town crier on the compass, and I have educated my guild mate on it as well.

 

i know full well what you were asking. i was pointing out that this list is unlikely to be updated as there is now much less need for it.

 

It would have been nicer to have phrased it that way from the beginning. Your answer sounded condescending, and it also came across as if you were trivializing a legitimate question. Perhaps you didn't mean it that way.

By the way, your second response sounded even more condescending in tone. If you feel the need to be snarky, I'd honestly prefer it if you'd just refrain from responding. I know I will. Thanks.
