Speaking of intermittent reinforcement, does the name Pavlov ring a bell?

Don't have a cowbell to show you. Yet.

 

Yeah. I think I'm at around thirty reapers for the evening, second night in a row. No bells, cow or otherwise.

 

Don't know how many I've killed so far, but this should give you an idea:
10 Ashen Heartwood
3 short shirt recipes
1 Golden Belt Buckle
0 Cowbell

Seems like a lot to me. That's the problem with the RNG reward system. I can kill the reaper. I can do it. I should get my reward. I deserve it for killing the reaper. I also understand there should be some mechanism for preventing people who would farm these things 15 hours a day to ruin the value of rare drops.

I propose we get a new obsidian potion that can only be used once a month that guarantees rare loot drop off of 1 mob. That way, for those of us that just want one as a trophy for our accomplishment of successfully defeating the mob, we can get it without getting a despondency inducing rejection from the RNG.

 

Got my first bell on around my 40th tree....since then about 50 more trees and nothing but a shirt recipe. I'd say the value of the bells is pretty safe thou its doing a number on the value of heartwood.

 

I'm at maybe 60-70. Work exploded, so I've been putting in twelve hour days for the last two weeks, which limits my reaper reaping to maybe 10 a night. I'm at about 8-9 ashen heartwood, and two shirt recipes.

 

That is very good odds you have. It took me about 200 reapers to get a cowbell, shirt recipie, 20 ashen heartwood, and the glowing belt buckle.

 

For shirts and heartwood, yeah. Not so much cowbells. What's the buckle for? Troll belt?

 

yep, apparently reapers eat trolls too. ...which would be awesome. i want to see that battle.

 

Another 15-20 down. Still no bell.

 

1 recipe, 2 bells, 4 heartwood.
About 50 reapers killed.

 

Ugh, I'm way past 50 and no bells. I got the t-shirt, the belt buckle and about 30 heart woods... I wonder if some areas are better for bells than others. I'm hunting the 4 that appear in Savrenoc Strong hold

 

they mentioned a drop rate in the livestream, it should be about one in 150. two in 50 is aMAZing. i was around 115.

 

Yeah, I should be coming up on that number soon. Is there a command to get a exact count? It would be nice if we could pull up our kill stats.

I killed mine in Greymark forrest

 

Greymark Forrest, 50 reapers, only 6 Ashen Heartwood, no recipe or cowbell

 

I have slain 337 Reapers since 4/1/18. So based on the statistics I should have 2 bells.... or atleast 1

I'll have to try there and see if I have better luck.
