<3 <3 <3 the ability to preview the 3d object at the COTO merchant!

This was definitely a much needed feature! Glad it is being implemented.

 

Much more immersive to my mind. Reminds me of those 3D magic holo images in the Harry Potter series.

 

It's better than it was on the web, thanks to being able to rotate it. I would like to be able to use right mouse or something to rotate vertically as well, but can live without it.

 

Thanks for the feedback! There will be more improvements made in many different areas of this (controls, info displayed, resizing, being able to preview more item types, etc.) Once it is working better we will likely be able to provide this feature throughout the game, not just at the crown merchant.

 

when used with wearables, it uses the deco version. this can be problematic if the deco version excludes things (like the hood on arabella's cloak) or is flat (like the ornate gamebson leggings). ideally it would be shown on a generic figure of the sex of the purchaser, with a button to switch if needed.

when used with house/pot deco, it needs an indicator of scale. there's no difference between a 1-story aspen and an epic aspen.

(an item preview for lot deeds is a little silly.)

there also needs to be some description text: i just know someone is gonna buy a chained obsidian shard and try to use it in a non-pvp town and not be able to get a refund.

i am a fan of the concept though! this is defintely gonna be better than links to web pages would have been (after some iteration).

OK - so being dumb here? how do we see the 3d?

 

There's a ? to the far right of the name of each item, after the price. Click that, then there should be a window that pops up, which you can interact with. Click and hold and you can rotate the item, zoom in and out by moving the mouse up and down if I remember correctly.

 

wow I must be stupid I looked all over and did spot it .. next time im in a city (trying to do a quest I always ignored atm)

This looks great! Can't wait till this goes global, for items on regular NPC merchants, as well as player vendors (hopefully!)
