My computer will load the offline windows 64 bit game and I can play it.
But neither Steam or the Stand alone client will allow me to play the game online.

Launcher is crashing.....

 

I run into the same when there's an patch/update (though not the last couple) uninstall and install from fresh usually fixes it for me.

Details: Unable to log on to the game, either via Steam or direct via Portalarium launcher

Steps to Reproduce:

double click "Shroud of the Avatar" icon
wait (wait time sequence doesn't affect outcome) when you don't move beyond step 6 uninstall Shroud of the Avatar
restart computer and go to account webpage and choose Game Client/Steam tab
click on Windows download
restart process

The reinstall suggestion was in response to the launcher crashing.

I just re-read your initial post, online & offline are the same game, you choose the context to play on this screen before you log in the game, i.e. after the launcher.

 

Lained, they are the same game, but you don't get your rewards in the offline version. just your basic armor

 

I'm just confused that you can play offline but not online, what happens when you use the above and click online?.

 

It just occurred to me that your post was around the same time as the DDOS attack which is now resolved, are you now able to play online?

 

NO it started in R27, i could only play in 32 bit mode, in R28 there is No 32 bit...Before R27 i had no problems..
I try to login and when it is loading it says, "Shroud of the Avatar.exe has stopped working" windows is looking for a solution.

I can only play in offline mode.

I removed all Portalarium files and overwrote the space, d/l a clean program, still not able to play online.

 

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you have some sort of conflict, perhaps in the registry. If nothing else is working, do a fresh install of windows.

Well, I've installed and uninstalled and still nothing. With the Steam version, I have the added step of verify game integrity. I'm still not in game.
