Me too, for no particular reason

Will the 'fix' to these locked accounts apply to those who may be 'incorrectly flagged' and haven't logged in yet? Or will those of us that log in later and are flagged, have to post to support?

i'm happy this happened. it is good to know the internal systems are being placed too on the back end. lets do everything we can do give that logic a spanking so we know it'll do us good when proper persistence is live.

But is it 'safe' to test this new system? Will we be locked out officially if we try? I'm talking in a standpoint of helping development, not kill my account I'm certain they aren't still trying to target the macroers (hopefully just legitimate cheaters), but if they are.. I can test BUT not if I am to be locked...

 

Of course, that would take a developer's response on the nature of cheating and macroing.. I wonder if they'll ever enlighten us with their views (besides the EULA, all you funny ppl)?

 

nope. this isn't like a security pentest, where you must have prior consent.

but it also isn't a request for us to properly cheat... we need to give them as many false positives as possible, they already know many of the actual cheats based on the engine itself, and their years as devs seeing the trends better than us from our perspective.

 

Well I'm sure they've covered simple macroing the excess xp pool, which is all I've ever done (or admit to whahahah!). I won't bother testing anything like that, unless they need some testing done there. I'll be like the sheeple, and play the game.

I imagine more advanced macroers are ready and willing though.. with much better tools than I (default keyboard program from Microsoft's site). Hope the introduction of this algorithm doesn't stop us sheeple from playing unimpeded.

I can log in (not that I was ever locked out, as per the OP, just hadn't had a chance to patch and log in till now)!! Looks like an amazing release so far!

 

Undoubtedly, it was just because you guys and gals have more toys (eg. skills at high levels) then everyone else and your in game performance exceeds their model of theoretical possible progress.

I was thinking along those lines, maybe high XP per hour or similar. When you get up there the daily 4x means you can earn very large amounts of XP quickly.

 

I'm not sure it was that. My control point xp can be like 250k an hour(without 4x) and I was not flagged.
