Since when you salvage them you get nothing but the same old scrap from it what is the point?

I took 2 +2 bandit blades I received as loot and salvaged them and got plain old metal scrap they where enchanted and masterworked which mean silver was spent they were made from special materials?

They had no real resale value and now no salvage value

Sorry but just looks like a 1/2 implemented system.

I'd rather see more low/mid tier crafted stuff than all this deco junk in the loot table.

You've probably figured it out by now, but those weren't player items. They've redone the weapon description system such that each additional part of the sword (hilt, blade, straps, etc.) now counts as +1. This was easy to verify by using the control key.

I do not sell crafted things to the npc chars, period.
Prices are so lousy it does not cover the costs making them but looted rustys are more worth, so why should i feed the loot table with enchanted bows?

It might be 1/2 implementation if you assume that the incentive for selling items to NPC were to be part of the scope.

I'm under the impression that the core thing is to get the sold items add to the loot table first. The reward for selling to NPC will be a separate work. They may need more data to find the sweet spot for the incentive adjustments.

Did they even say "Crafted By X"? Those were not player crafted items so your critique is invalid.

Your post is kind of contradictory, although I agree what I think your message is. Crafted items in loot tables is a separate change from all the deco items in loot. The amount of deco stuff in loot is just plain annoying to me. I understand someone might care about this stuff but I'm sure many other agree with me that it's just a pain to get rid of all the worthless deco junk.

The crafted items come from bundles. This happens rarely enough so that I'm not in anyway bothered by it even though none if this will ever be worth anything to me.

Maybe when they get around to more UI updates, they'll be a "sell junk" function. I wouldn't mind more conveniences anyway.

To also throw in - I don't agree with getting rid of deco loot. You can just simply not loot it. Those who want it would then be unable to get it.

The crafted stuff in the loot table is a great change, although I don't like that they are only available in supply bundles. Anything with enchantments or masterworks makes sense to be there, but anything without either should be on regular mobs. Enchanted/masterworked items should have better salvage rates for components, and return gold/silver scrap as well.

The deco items in loot tables would be ok with a couple modifications. The tables should not be universal, but biome based: farming equipment makes sense in a Plains scene, but not in The Fall. All of these deco should have their value increased to at least be on par with the other junk (i.e., rusty swords) from mobs. And all deco should be salvagable.

Given the prices npc pay you will not see much MC or Enchanted on the loot table (hint, they pay you more for rusty)

    I looted a bookcase from a chest in a tier 1 zone.

We cannot make those and they are like 2 to 3k from an NPC deco vendor.

I have also had two taming collar drops.

However, those are the notable items that I find useful from the several hundred other items I have randomly looted.
