I'm about level 81, and I seem to have a long, drawn out fight with him where he ultimately out dpses me and I have to retreat. He's yellow to me, but seems to be highly resistant to all my attacks, using fire, enchanted/masterworked halberd, and light. I simply can't damage him very much. I do pretty good with all other undead with those. Anyone have a hint?
He's hard. My best undead fighting deck did like nothing to him. I ended up taking him down with a halberd and chaos bolts, but it took a while. I used blind and fireflies on him, and fortify defense and death shield on myself, plus the usual slew of buffs and devotionals and dragon stew/obsidian bear stew.
Thanks! I bet if I brought a bunch of high level health potions I could finish the job. Seems like there should be a more tactical way about it though. I haven't tried fireflies yet...seems like a popular skill.
I've fought him several times in a couple of different groups. In my experience, he dies more quickly to physical attacks. A bow or two and a melee weapon and he goes down quickly.
My magic attacks were doing about 5% (of their normal) damage to him even using sun/banish. Gotta beat him with a stick.
I killed all Undead adds with Ban, Soothing+ Ban Combo, runned all HoTs, Death Shield, Dodge, Evasion and additionally used my Sword with wand and Icearrow.
