Think Pink Community Cause - October 2017

During October 2017 the AERIE Fund and the Shroud of the Avatar Community supported the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.

Here are the Final Results:









Donation amount does not include transaction fees, physical reward expenses, and the donation to the AERIE Fund of $1300 for continued operations.

Think Pink - Current Event Listing:

Here's a list of the events for Think Pink (so far). This list is subject to change as more events are added.

October 5th (1 - 2 PM CST & 8 -9 CST) - Think Pink - Oktoberfest at Rauchbier Platz​

Location: Rauchbier Platz

About: Oktoberfest event on October 5; two different times - one for our Europrean friends and one during evening Central Time. Hannah Alpenglow will be hosting an Oktoberfest event at Rauchbier Platz. This will have several games and pretty major giveaways to attendees (hundreds of COTOs, a tax free village deed, etc.). Hannah is also going to try to get an Avatar's Radio or WRFB DJ to come so we can of course dance while celebrating Oktoberfest. To support Think Pink, Hannah has generously offered to donate $20 for every attendee of the event, up to a maximum of $1,000. So if we get 50 or more attendees over the two events, Hannah will donate $1,000!

October 10th - 7:30 CST - Think Pink - Fight! Against Breast Cancer

Location: PoT (Festival)

About: Player vs Player Tournament with Swiss Rules (3 rounds) will be held in the Player Owned Town of Festival on October 10th at 7:30 pm NBT/Central. Rules will follow EVL Virtue League "B" division. Prize pool: 5 COTO for all undefeated, 2 COTO for those with only 1 loss, 1 COTO for participating. Contact player "Engineer" in-game for additional details.​

October 13th -15th (5pm to 10pm CST) – Think Pink – Organized Chaos Grand Capture Fair

Location: PoT (Constitutio Chaos)

About: A Grand Fair event in Constitutio Chaos whose main event is a 14 to 14 player capture the flag competition. We will also have a fair grounds with game booths and vendor space rentals by donations to the Aerie Fund. The Sara and Andar show will also hopefully be live during the event on Radio Free Britannia. Community Leader: Andartianna Zazeriz

October 19th - 7pm CST - Think Pink - Scared Pink Costume Ball

A PaxLair event to back the Aerie Fund's Think Pink. Thursday October 19th. 20017 7 pm NBT / CT (12 am UTC) until 9 pm NBT / CT (2am UTC)

To be held on our forgotten keep island located in the bay. Take the left rowboat at end of dock.

October 21st (All day) - AERIE Fund's Think Pink 24 Hour Streamathon

Location: Twitch (AERIE Fund)

About: A 24 hour stream-a-thon featuring games, prizes and surprises! This will be a 24 Hour event that will start at 12:01 AM on Saturday October 21, 2017.

October 21st (9-11 PM CST) - Seprent's Watch Race Challenge

Location: Sepent's Watch (PoT)

About: Avatars, if you consider yourself fleet of foot, a bit of an acrobat or just enjoy a good laugh then this is the event for you! Racers are timed at completing the serpent's watch race track with prizes being awarded to the top 3 places. We've also an all in event called the crapper run in which everyone starts at the same time!!


October 21st - (3PM CST) - EVL Casino Night (Breast Cancer Awareness Event)

Location: PoT (Virtue Oasis)

Join us on Saturday, October 21st at 3 PM NBT in Virtue Oasis for a community Casino Night. This is a special Breast Cancer Awareness month edition so make sure to wear PINK!

I donated, how do I get my cloak?

 

As we've stated on Lunch with Laz and Jack, I'm responsible for delivery of the cloaks in-game.
Generally, it takes an hour to several hours for me to deliver the cloaks once a donation has been made. The cloaks are delivered via the in-game mail system. If you made a donation and haven't received your cloak, I'm also the person you want to contact for that as well.

 

Thanks for adding the EVL Casino Night to the events list! Gonna be a great month!

 

This is certainly an improvement on the last one where you and Theodore had to deliver the cloaks in person
