After PC-Reset Sota dont start

Hello all,

i need help please.

I reseted my PC and installed sota again.
If i press play the program patches a long time.
After the patchprozess i press play to start. than i see in the background a small window with a sota-symbol and a green bar wich is raising. the window disapear after 1 second anf nothing else happens.
The game dont start.

My PC
intel core i-7 3770 CPU 3,4 GHZ, 16 GB RAM
Windows 8 - 64 bit

Has anyone an idea what to do ?

While I’m at work there will be a folder somewhere under your profile that contains an output_log.txt. This hold boring tech info and other details about what went on.

When you reinstalled your pc did you make sure you got the latest graphics driver for your video card? And what card is it?

It sounds like it’s having issues setting the graphics up as you don’t really get anywhere.

I’m sad to say I do. For the most part.

In short one of two things it doesn’t like.

Either something didn’t go right and some of the unity dlls that it thought it wrote. It didn’t write correctly

And/or

It didn’t manage to initialise the graphics

However. What to do next isn’t entirely obvious

The most obvious thing to do and it’s a miserable thing to do is remove sota make sure it all goes and reinstall. While I know you only just did that. The patching process does sometimes somehow not work right.

Things I would suggest trying before that are a) run as administrator. Check somehow it’s not some weird permissions issue. B) disable you antivirus and see if that makes a difference. Some have been very sensitive to sota due to it using p2p patching.

Failing that. If reinstalling and everything doesn’t work. Mail support they have goid strong processes to help sort you out

at first, now sota has started, all is fine.

i suggest it was either, a windows-problem, or as you said, the patching process. ( i think 6 tmes i tried deinstall and reinstall ) now it works.
