    My farm is finally started in Dragon's Fall. YAY!

    I am so happy to see agriculture added to this game now! I can't wait to see all the different plants and future additions.

    I have my first plants in the planters in my greenhouse and eagerly await the first harvest.

    I have my donkey, llama, reindeer and foal out wandering on the farm.

    Thank you for your hard work!

    Wait! You can place planting beds in the house!
    Ok, not a farm, but looks like I'll be growing up a few things there :)
    Not much space? wait till I get down to the basement...

    I wonder how well they will work in basements. (Yes, I know, no sunlight, but someone's gotta try it.)

    If possible, I'd be very interested in having a keep or castle 5 story basement setup as nothing but a farm... *checks wallet* nope can't afford it.

    Worth testing. It would be fair that beds required dirt below and natural light. Not much of a problem as long as there are barrels and pots that should be more forgiving.
    I can't test further today though. I have to leave now or I'll be late to watch Star Wars (sorry, I had to say that :) ).

    Hope later on there's a way to place inset planting beds outside, ones where the dirt is at ground level.

    Also, I hope they put visual cues in later on to show whether or not a plant is watered or not -- so you don't have to double-click it to check it out. For instance, the soil can look wet vs. dry (darker vs. lighter). Also cues as to the health of the plant, like yellowing/browning leaves when its dying.

    Yes, would be nice to know when I overwater a plant visually - I do that a lot IRL:rolleyes:

    @serolrom,

    Btw, its unclear to me at this point how much plants rely on sunlight and rain. If they depend on it, you might not want to plant in your basement in the future.

    It would make sense that certain plants couldn't grow in desert climates simply because they need more rain, and others couldn't grow in snowy climates, simply because they need more sun. It would also affect what you grow underground. Which is why we'd need fungiculture for underground towns. To make things easier for underground town residents, there could be artificial means of light, or, in some underground taverns, cracks in the ceiling of the caves letting light in.

    Also, this is why greenhouses might be important.

    Underground hydroponics requires GM light and GM Sun Attunement!

    I knew there was a reason coming for GM light!

    @Kvow Triumvir,

    Would be fun, IMO, anyway, if location impacted agriculture; it would tie into the purpose of the regional economy. You would trade with people in certain towns for certain food products at a good price. Would also help the game in other ways.

    Inside vs. outside, above ground vs. under ground too. I mean, I think there would be advantages in gameplay if it made a difference. Though there could always be plants that do well indoors.

    As soon as I download R25 , I"ll give you Kindred access to the fort. Might as well take advantage of all that sunlight. Let's see if we can build in more surface area.
