    When mobs take a single hit for huge amounts of damage, have them run away. If a wolf takes 75% damage in one hit, they shouldn't be standing around waiting for the finishing blow.

    Undead would be the exception, they should never run.

    Good idea, perhaps add something like perception:
    If a human/Kobold/elf mob watches you easily killing one of his kind he should flee unless they're outnumbering you.
    Also if you're "red" to humanoid mobs they should flee, "yellow" they should be cautious and not always engage and only if you're "green" should show current behavior.

    For normal wolves and bears I believe they should flee humanoids (especially if they have fire) and only attack if cornered, attacked first or if the player is severely injured.
