You're speaking of we Outlanders?

 

GM led events like Moonglow Graveyard invasion, or GM Controlled Dragons, Ancient Wryms, and City invasions. These were all insanely fun for all. The only thing that was missing was sufficient in-game notification and sufficient foreshadowing/warning of the coming threat. I hated seeing the message and then rushing over just to arrive just as it was ending sometimes. These kinds of events could draw more people into multiplayer mode and encourage strangers to work together and make new friendships. For such events I would suggest Portalarium take a hard look at how Rift implemented public grouping for world events, rifts, etc. It's an incredibly intelligent feature that makes grouping with strangers during otherwise solo play incredibly easy and fun.

 

And be highly frustrating when you arrived only to find that you're in the wrong instance of the scene because the Prime instance, where the event is taking place, filled to capacity spawning other instances where those arriving late would appear.

 

I was thinking of the upside this game could get into.
