Avatar Sword

AND WITH this sword embedded in the night
This sword of Virtue, casting light, on evils realm.
And in its hilt there wilt be found,
a power thy will shall unbound,

Oblivion Cry (inspired by Shroud of the Avatars blood river massacre – its a song of regret from a soldier who partook in the attempted genocyde of Elvenkind at Blood River)


The burning floodpan,
carries the stench of death
You can see the sun,
winking 'through the Blacktoft hills
Shadows crawl,
along dismembered flesh
And stagnant pools stand timelessly still

So steal the infants from their cots
Smash their bodies on the rocks,
where the blood-red river runs,
beneath the pale phantasmal sun
I've a got premonition,
something Machiavellian has begun

Thunder rumbles,
through the windswept valley
Lightning strikes the hills endlessly
It can't be – it can't be real!

SHELL ISLE

Feel the fire of Veramacors breath,
spitting rocks + molten embers
A lair of all-consuming death,

I've only been able to write when I do it for the sheer enjoyment of the creative work.... reading and listening is rare... just having one person in this world who is willing to really listen to you is a great gift.

And I will bug you again to eventually put this writing into books in New Britannia! Please!

 

Vyrin, I've been noticing threads ripping apart Shrouds dialogue. I haven't seen it yet, but i get the impression it needs to be rewritten. What are your thoughts good sir?

I did several posts on the "paths" of the main story line. The response was encouraging, they are working on them. I fear there are not enough people testing them, looking through the dialogue for confusion and inconsistencies. I had hoped that there would have been more chances to provide feedback earlier, but the paths weren't implemented to any great extent before persistence. But here we are, it's water under the bridge and down to the wire for release. All we can do is encourage people to test and provide feedback. Whether the narrative will live up to expectations set originally is a big question, especially since Shroud now proclaims itself primarily as a sandbox MMO.
