By that, I mean a majority of members being from/in Texas? Thanks!
I don't know of any guilds specifically but I know there are lots of members in the forums from here. If you don't find one perhaps it would be a niche guild to start!
We have a number of members scattered across the colonies US. Not sure we have any from texas unless you fancy setting up a chapter?
Our group has about 20 total members with 9 being in/from Texas (Dallas to Ft. Worth to Amarillo). We also have several veterans in the group who love to hate the VA.
I really, really dislike going to the VA for anything. What is the guild?
I wasn't aware moderators were allowed to be in any guilds... *looks around* We have members from all over the world, mostly US, EU, and AU. That's interesting about wanting members only from Texas. Good luck in your search! Here is EnderAndrew's updated list of guilds: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/updated-guild-list.7254/
Meh. I say Texas because that allows the option to have group functions- meet and greets, etc.
It's not a mandatory desire, just an interesting option, I think.
If I don't find a guild like that, I'll probably go with one of the writing/Bardic guilds.
Well the best guild in the world is based there;p the portalarium guild. if i were closer i would go six hours is nothing to drive for a meet and greet for me but then if i went id have to change my name.
I would check out Avatar's Radio, The Caverns, Poet's Circle, The Bear Tavern, 4B, The Brittanian Mining Co., Society of Shadows, Moongate Travelers of course, and Pax et Veritas as well. There are a lot of great guilds out there, and it's impossible for me to remember all of them.
We are "The Order of Drunken Elders". Our group came over from UO with players from Atlantic, Siege and Lake Superior.
We also have a lot of x-stratics people. You can check out our guild website at ode-guild.com.
Ours is a small family guild in College Station. Sadly the family members voted to keep it a closed group.
Why would we not be allowed to be in guilds? I was a guild leader long before I was a moderator.
As for moderating - if it has anything even remotely to do with a guild-mate, then I do not act on it but instead call in another moderator to review the case from an outside perspective. It removes any bias that might come into play... and yes - several of my guild-mates have had warnings, infractions and even bans.
We have a new recruit from College Station. Nice place.
About a quarter of the players are children who act as such. Most of the adults voted not to disturb the world at large with their antics.
I do enjoy it here. Close enough to everything in Texas but the Panhandle and West Texas. Also a vet, USAF. Hate using the VA too.
Lake Superior is where I played UO. I was Tibbar NightLord. My buddy, Landolph, and I used to
escort folks in and out of Trinsic fighting off PKers. It was a blast being known as defenders of Trinsic. heh
As for guilds with kids... I don't have the patience for it. My silliness tolerance meter is busted.
I understand but one of them is my own. However, I will seek out a guild with my second and third avatars.
I think both Paxlair and The Weeping Seven have members in Texas, but I'm not sure that they would consider themselves a "Texas" guild.
Those paxlair guys are great they have been around since UO. Very knowledgeable
Separate names with a comma.
