They do. Any spell that causes damage also damages the wand or staff.

 

When did that change. Wands only took durability hit if you accidentally left auto attack on and proded people with your wand. Which for 1 to 3 damage or whatever it is was not worth it.

PS not saying it is a bad change. Probably over due.

So AoE damage, (RoF, Ice Field, MS, Death Field, Corpse Explo, Solar Flare, [Probably Ingite Weapon too] going to destroy wands/staffs just as fast as body slamming corpus? — I didn’t see that in patch notes

 

will healing spells also damage wands and staves?

I’ll call it right now, bards with bandit gear will kill player GMs. This is gonna be the new meta.

Fellows; this looks rough, people with large discretionary spending will purchase rare or legendary bandit armor sets and rare to legendary zen bows. Without that you will be destroyed in PvP.

Ideal two man PvP team will include one buffed to hell high defense heavy armor spec to body slam out of silent movement while the other bandit/Xen sharpshooter kills them before they know what hit them. I will call this the end of PvP except for the few that can afford to buy or farm this gear.

I have no idea. All I know is that I have a staff that I use for training and direct damage spells that I cast on the training dummy also damage the staff. No, I'm not hitting the training dummy with my staff.

piercing puncture

 

I got some 1400 piercing shot with full plate and 100 dr. Stuffs like piercing shot or puncture pass damage resistance, shield and every kind of defensive, i would Call them skills meta, cause they have not a counter.

 

Archers could say piercing shot is the counter to heavy armor. Killing a heavy armor wearing (especially heavy spec'd), life spec wielding player is tough without the occasional big hit to change the momentum of a fight.

 

I know the counter to sara magic resistance, dont use magic. But dont take my word for it, try it for yourself . Fighting sara with no magic at all is a sure win

 

This is true, but heavy armor becomes, so, counterable with piercing attacks, how to counter piercing attacks ?

Everything is the counter to me.

 

The tradeoff for piercing attacks was supposed to be that they naturally do less damage. The sweet spot for balance’s sake i think was’ at one point, that it did more damage to heavily armored people than a well resisted aimed shot, but noteably less than a unresisted aimed shot.

But i dont think anything should be doing 1000 damage, or healing for that ammount, especially in pvp. Its just too much damage in a game where the average pvper has like 1300 or 1400 health, which is not a super easy ammount of health to achieve

 

Looks into crystal ball and sees there are no more pvpers playing this game.

If you dont have a LEGACY Xen bow/envy bow with old masterworks + NEW 2hander masterworks, you shouldnt even bother with pvp.
