Ardoris Black Arrow quest

I might just be blind, but I don't see any guard towers that overlook the market. Help? Thanks

I'm afraid I'm still stuck - I found the tower, one door opens the other locks, I couldn't find any clues in the tower that opened, couldn't find a key to the other tower, and couldn't get anyone else I spoke to to give me any additional clues or leads.

A nudge or two in the right direction will be appreciated!

I think you can figure out the rest. Sadly, this quest was not designed very well (it's very old), and there's no Journal entry at all telling you what do to do next. But you can look at the compass, or actually read the letter you just picked up, and easily figure out (from all the evidence in the room) who you need to speak to next......

The first THREE TIMES I went to the top of the first tower I didn't notice the ladder leading down the other side. Once I finally saw it, the rest of the quest flowed faily naturally, though it did take me awhile to find Rolf. I don't think the quest was designed too badly actually - I mean finding the note about Rolf's son and calling it proof Rolf is the murderer is a bit of a stretch, but other quests resolve themselves with less evidence LOL. Just glad to have it done - thanks!

 

Thanks for the tip Anpu -- I never would have found that ladder without it.

My only other thought is it would be helpful if Tanya appeared on my compass to end the quest. I wasted like 20 minutes wondering around trying to find her.

 

I remember doing this quest a couple of years ago, and it did seem to be nicely designed, no bugs whatsoever. I remember having a bit of trouble finding my way through the towers but that's totally fine for me, it's an investigation quest afterall.
