Are Obsidian Robes salvageable for pattern or just for deco?

Greetings All. I would like to create a Robe wearing Mage and the obsidian robes look great for this. They take up the chest slot but can you salvage a pattern out of them?. Also in the history of the Obsidian Order it says they wore the robes over their armor. I can see them being deco/wardrobe if that was the case. Also being able to dye them would be great but probably not going to happen.

 

@Warrior B'Patrick you can salvage the Cabalist robes but the chance of getting a pattern is very low.

 

Greetings @Ameresta Trilon, thanks for the info. I may try a couple. Want to do a full mage with robes but the hit on chest piece was too much even with enchants.
