Are POT devotionals not working?

Twice today I have gone into Perfectus Mori to use a devotional, and none of them were working. The regular NPC town devotionals in Etceter and Aerie were working fine. The first time I tried, the town was under siege, but not the second.

Is someone else having this problem? I want to make sure it isn't just me before calling it a bug.

 

You have to wait for the scene to finish loading.

 

How long does that take, exactly? I was there for at least two minutes, jumping into them trying to get even one to take effect. And I have been able to run straight to them before with no problem until today.

 

I've been subject to a lot of delayed reactions today. Not sure why. Has happened in a number of ways, opening chests, the devotionals. It's kind of a weird lag. I normally have no lag issues.

 

I went back just now and I'm standing in the devotional water with nothing happening.

Then I type /bug.

And nothing still happens.

Yeah, something is wrong here if /bug won't even work!

EDIT: chat filters were involved in seeing no messages, not sure why the web browser switch wasn't working, but at least that is working now

 

I am able to pick up devotional buffs in POTs just fine.

 

I have the same problem with POT devotionals. On the surface it seems you have to wait for scene loading to finish as stated above, but I am not so sure. When finally getting the buff, sometimes I double check the buff icon and it does not show the full buff. For example, adventurer level buff might be three instead of four and it requires another jump into the devotional to rectify. I have a bug posted for the doorway at the blacksmith shop in Etceter. You try to open that door and sometimes takes 30 to 45 seconds to finally open. Only place this happens for me.

 

This I've experienced. I haven't had the other problem.

 

FWIW, it seems to specifically be the devotionals (all of them!) in Perfectus Mori. I could stand in the water for a minute or two and get no buff. Lexie confirmed it enough to open a bug for it. Bugs like that tend to be tricky when their results are inconsistent.

That happens to me sometimes with the Etceter bank door, but only 5-10 seconds.

 

This was true before R48. Now you don't get any buff until enough of the scene is loaded to where it determines you get the full buff.

 

The reason I am not so sure is that sometimes I wait before jumping in until the scene load reasonably must be complete and it still happens. The last step you take towards the devotional may be a threshold for more scene loading, in some scenes. Perhaps if I walk past the devotional, walk back then jump in it will work properly. Will give it a try.

 

If not waiting until something loads before trying to use it completely prevents it from ever working until you leave (as opposed to simply happening once it is ready), I think that would most definitely be a bug.
