Are there going to be Orcs?

Could be that some of the areas added by later episodes is dominated by another species.

 

If we're only allowed one character per account (as it stands now) and they add races later, would that mean deleting your character and losing all your progress to play a different race later?

 

Me thinks the devs will see fit to open "the one character per account" limitation debate up again when/if additional races are added to the game.

(Provided the final release of the game has that limitation, that is).

 

If they add a race and still only allow one char per account, i would say they would need to add 'race change' as one easy option

 

Again, my feeling is that could have many characters, but there are some thing simply attached to the player. e.g. my karma and well as various faction allegiances and reputation. To me, this isn't all that different from controlling 8 people in Ultima IV.

Reading up what I can so far, it looks like we have Elves, Satyrs, Fauns and Kobolds.

The first three are magical creations made by man, transforming a human into something else. The Kobolds are a type of Fomorians. I'm assuming there will be other types of Fomorians, of which Orcs are a possibility.

If no race specific traits are involved a lot of MMO's have an NPC were you can change your appearance, you can then keep the character and stats earned but change the look if they add it to character creation.

Im hoping they make the Kobolds look canine like. Saytrs would be an original choice. I like that. I gotta say and I'm probably the only one, I'd love to see lizard men as a choice. Not the sky rim looking lagoon creatures but the d*mn dinosaur styled ones. Just a thought. Elves goblins and orcs are a bit run into the ground

The screenshot of the "Elves" provided in last Friday's "Update of the Avatar" appears to be a fresh take on the race. The lore behind them is quite divergent as well (as known from the "Blade of the Avatar" novel).

If the devs ever do add a "goblin" or "orc" race, it will most likely be along the same lines.
