Are you suppossed to kill the deer in the Challenge Dungeon?

Greetings,

I am stuck in a room with Stags in the Challenge Dungeon. I am wondering if you are supposed to kill them. I am vegan. I do not kill peaceful creatures. Only in self defense. If you are supposed to kill them, can you please replace them with evil monsters?

Why are there deer in a dungeon anyway?

You are supposed to kill all the critters in each level in order to pass on to the next lvl, the door to the next room wont open unless all the critters have been killed - you dont have to eat them though

 

They must be MurDeer

 

Hahaha that's funny but as the other folks have said kill everything in the dungeons to advance to the next room and then rinse and repeat.

 

Now that I think about, I didn't pause to consider how brutal I was when I slaughtered the deers. Maybe you can assume that they are hostile monsters in disguise, this dungeon is full of nasty things.
