Artifact?

Found a shield:

Shield of Attraction

For better or worse, this well-worn shield seems to attract a lot of hits. Though it is light and doesn't stop much.

40 durability
+15% combat block modifier.

Not sure if this is just a regular item, or is something special. Anyone know?

Oh wow! That excited me. How ever, it doesn't seem that great off the top of my head. The durability is so low, I cant enchant or masterwork.

Not sure the practical use of the shield or how much I can sell it for to a newbie?

15 blocking is huge. it's useful for a tank.

 

Thanks for your feedback. When I looted it, it has about 12 out of 40 durability.

My question is: If I use a CoTo on it, will it stay at 40 durability? Or, is there any possibility to gem, enchant, masterwork to make the shield better?

 

You won't need to use a CoTo on it unless you are trying to raise its max durability back to the original. If 40 is it's highest that it can actually go, a regular repair kit on a bench will do you fine! If you are worried about your repair skill, hit me up in game and I will be glad to help.

You will not be able to enchant it or change the effects however.
