[As Designed] Pet food does not persist when you change zones!

    I just knowticed that when I changed zonez that the food that I eat for my pet does not carry over. I have to eat each time I got from one area to another. I have tried this with a food of the pet foods and they all do the same thing. Also if the pet dies it does not carry over either.

    @odyssey2003, this is as (currently) designed. it also is lost if you dismiss and re-summon a pet.

    As a tamer I still don't understand why we are being punished in this way. We rely on the pets for damage and by making us lose buffs each time we change scenes is unfair.

    I can understand losing buffs if pet dies but not on changing scenes. So much of the game is unavailable to me because it is not economical to rebuff on each change such as sieges and overland encounters. If the pet food buffs stayed when changing scene would that give tamers any advantage over other players?

    it's not a punishment, it's a tech limitation. pets have no memory. every time one is created, either by summoning or by scene creation, it's a new beast. it's like your parents secretly swapping out your goldfish and hoping you won't notice.
