Attn: network admin

I have noticed the client's connection is very "sensitive" . I do not have a innate knowledge of specific network parameters, but I do believe a setting similar to "KeepAlive" is a bit sensitive for it's own good. every time lightning cracks here (I'm on dsl) I'd assume it would cause a moment of noise and packet loss, I get booted from SOTA every time but remain connected to everything else, Others I speak to on 4g for instance have the same problem. I am wondering if the window could be adjusted to allow for more deviance keeping many more users connected? So to my limited understanding we would then experience a moment of lag rather than a disconnect? I am unsure what else this would affect, But if it is possible it would seem like a healthy move.
