Avatars Radio Listeners, Shroud of the Avatar Community, Church of the Dark Star followers, Everyone - I need your attention on this... We have a call out for help from a friend we all can say in some way has helped us one way or another.

Kazyn Phoenixfyre is in need of our help. He is going through some pretty harsh **** and he's in tatters. Anyone that can help, I am asking that you dig deep this holiday season and show our brother that we are a community that comes togeth...er when our family has fallen.

I am unsure personally how to set up a donation collection platter ((if i did, I would have set that up -- anyone with this knowledge lets do that) but I have his paypal address and anyone able to help ((get the word out there would also help!!)) please let me know.

Lets not only let the holiday season fill us with willingness to help but the need of a fallen family member, if you can.. open your hearts to help him.

I will also be taking collection of clothes that I can send to him. I am unsure on exact size but the person is"tiny". So if you are unable to help financially, that is something else that can be helped with

. Food - that can be shipped to him so non-perishable goods would also be in favour

Thank you Amber, This is Kazyn here for those that did not know. I am okay, but am at a point where I am going to have to take care of my mom at least in the near term. She's recently lost just about everything including a car, and her home... There is also the question of medical issues (memory loss, dementia) that have been prevelant and i will be having to take her in to see a specialist most likely.

This is just a lot to take in, and a lot of stuff I have to look forward to dealing with... and at the moment, i am the only one in the family who seems willing to do anything about it.

I am not one to ever ask for help, usually I am the one asking how I can help others. This is just... that tipping point where I couldn't really logically go and refuse it. So I thank Amber and everyone else in the sota community, and I also thank you for all the well wishes i've gotten so far.

I dont exactly know how bad it's gonna be yet - as i'm at the moment trying to help my mom of 64 years basically start a new life... while dealing with the memory and medical issues. It's quite daunting.. and has been really stressful and worrying. I do apologize for my quietness lately in the community but this has been a lot to take in and process...

 

We Are Moving

As of January 17th 2017, Avatars Radio direct link to play through your media players (winamp, VLC, etc etc) will be stream.avatarsradio.info:24102 -
If you are unable to hear the radio through your normal means, please be sure to check there. Again the new address effective January 17th 2017 is stream.avatarsradio.info:24102

The effective change will occur in the afternoon of January 17th, 2017 NBT and will relate to Avatars Radio being down for approximately 3 hours.
Those who were having issues listening through your web browsers will find it much easier as the move will fix all issues that chrome was having.
For listeners who follow us on TunedIn, the change will become effective at the same time.
The change will also become effective on your in game radios by the next patch.

Avatars Radio is now back -- Did you feel the hiccup? Maybe not, I would imagine not.

In attempts to make this transition as seamless as possible.. Even though we gave everyone a heads up prior to the change, we have magically made it possible to not need to change the port number at all.

The port to the radio will remain as it has been. stream.avatarsradio.info:14102.

I apologize for any confusion, frustration, or issues this may have caused. Our attempts was to make this as seamless as possible while also making it easier for everyone involved ((just wish i had known about it before sending out spam everywhere ... ~mumbles under her breath~)

All listeners should now be able to hear Avatars Radio through all their different means.

I would like to give thanks to all those involved in making this change possible and so smooth and quick.

Although not a Release Party. The last 2 years in a row there has been a New Year Eve party in the Jade Valley at the Jade Tavern that Avatars Radio has hosted.

If possible I would like to reserve that date again, and again and again lol

Avatars - I know we all are excited about the @FireLotus Release parties.. I look forward to them as much as everyone else does.. However due to happenings on the other side of the rift on my part. There is no R40 party... I apologize to everyone... However, if you are interested in hosting a party in the future.. Please see the Avatars Radio Thread on the forums and sign up to be a host for the future .. we would love to see these parties happen as much as you would We love @FireLotus

Heck if they are hard to fill set us up on August R45 as well as a plan B. We are a festive town after all.

 

I have 4 radios in my house and every time Im messing around crafting or playing with decorations I tune them all to Avatars radio, keep up the good work!

Jade Valley Tavern will also take R42 (May 25th) and R48 (November 2017 this is usually a early week betting it will be 16th)

 

Another thing.
One of my members was wondering about a second release party at a second time frame (maybe every Saturday after release) to allow for all the other players that can't hit the time frame of the usual party.

I thought i would bring it up. makes sens perhaps the second party would be in the same place as the Thursday party's. but not sure if all could support such a party.

Might be more doable after launch with a bigger community. But wanted to pass the thought on.

@Mal Hari - Consider it done will have you down for the schedule for R42 and R48.

Also this is a fantastic idea. However the second party may be only possible with a DJ whom is not FireLotus, we have tried for multiple years to have more time with FireLotus but she is a very busy woman.. However, I personally would be interested in fulfilling a second release party at a different day/hour for those that can not attend the first. If we could have her free time to do two events, would be even more behind that.. If one of our wonderful DJs were to fill the position would that be as accepted? I know I would be happy to do it.

Whats the stance on streaming and Avatars radio. I once had an alt crafting with the radio next to him playing avatars while I streamed on my main. Twitch muted the sound for the entire video due to copy rights stuff.
