I absolutely support idea of new combat UI, but implementation is terrible...

    My pre-combat hot bar is

    In combat it is

Where i can place food, potion and another consumables?

Solution - add new "hidden" hotbar who replace pre-combat hotbar...

Ehhh... as nicely as i can say, you can adjust your deck easily to make room in combat bar first of all.
But simply remove recall / teleport while farming. Redrag when ure done

Theres honestly very little in sota that has led me to belive they care about *comfortable game play*.
No caps, lacking decay means everyone can hit a point of god mode.
The ONLY limiting factor right now is deck size and the hot bars.

While i don know why they just didnt add a * consumable shortcut * instead of doing the whole bar, i still think its easier then it was.

I wish the 5 on the left were consumables and the 5 on the right were editable buff trackers (like the skill tracking HUD). Lit up = active buff and shaded = elapsed.

I said it was awkward in preview, but now getting into heavy combat areas in-game, the distraction is getting me killed regularly. I despise the fact that these are attached and cannot be separated. It simply takes up too much of the combat area, and is confusing. Having multiple different flashes in the same area is enough to give someone a epiletic seizure. I love the additional bar... implementation is horrible. They need to be separate.

They just need to spend the time to add a consumables only (5 slots) bar.

This was an interesting fast way of trying to implement this feature (consumables bar), but shouldn't be looked at as a long term solution, in my opinion.

Good solution, too... But hide pre-combat hotbar...

Would be nice if the two bars weren't glued together.

Things like food, recall and teleport can be used from your inventory and since they take so long to execute and are used so infrequently, it just doesn't make sense to add them to your hot-bar.

Right, but I eat a wolf and lamb and it lasts for two hours. I'm not going to take up a slot for that even in my utility bar. If I need to eat again then I'll come out of combat mode and double click it from my inventory.

It's be fine if the utility bar had multiple states that you could toggle, but it's just one bar. Add switch buttons and six different versions of the utility bar to swap between, possibly with a small cool down, and it would work fine.

There is just too much stuff that one bar is supposed to hold for it to work being so small.

I'm confused, what's the problem? Do you want more slots?

There are many things they could do.

For example, they could have a subtle right and left arrow on each side of the utility bar, like in a scroll bar. When you click right or left, it would move to a different set of 10 slots. Then, there could be a shortcut key for accessing the arrows, like Shift+Left or Shift+Right.

I like the size / layout idea. But I am not so keen on the functionality. Its as if I have to use the bar as a consumables bar now, for it to be meaningful on screen. Else its largely just a bar of grayed-out stills sitting there in combat.

    I. HATE. EVERYTHING. ABOUT. IT. WITH. A. PASSION.

This needs to burn in UI hell.

This is exactly what I've been doing...

... so WTF is the point of the non-combat bar IN COMBAT, then? So that people can shove MORE skills onto their bars without so much as putting thought into it?

Not only is this hideous, but it underlines the entire purpose of the shuffling glyph mechanic.

Well the OP's issue is that it doesn't solve what the devs thought they'd solve... which is allowing people to put potions on their non-combat bar for combat situations.

What total garbage and redundant system!

Agree with multiple utility bars but just having them linked to the deck. So you can build your utilities and decks together. And still having a seperate master peace bar for junk.
