Bards need to be able to run to keep up with the party. Seriously, I'd put XP into it.

    I agree that you shouldn't have to put an instrument away to break out of turtle walk. The mechanics of playing music could really use a revamp considering how relevant music buffs are to combat. Running around clicking a sheet for a buff and instantly going back to combat every 25 seconds or whatever is pretty ridiculous. Playing continuously is less powerful anyway, so I don't really see any reason why it shouldn't be possible to run and play at the same time other than minor realism.

    From what I've seen with Fleet Flute, the people play 1 note, then take off running. That's not barding.

    I'm not worried about buffs either, even though I hope that happens in a real skill tree one day. Really, I just want to be able to run with the group while providing the soundtrack.

    Both Sprint and Dash with light Armour. That is what the fast kids are doing these days.

    Yes, but when you start playing an instrument, you're walking. So, if we're going to have intense drums running up to the boss fight, the guy playing the drums needs to be able to keep up.
