Recently, Bastion’s Point has been sending its top researchers and scholars to the Nearby Lunar Rift in Solace Bridge in order to leverage its secret travel power and open its gates for the use of all of Novia. The Task has been Perilous and Fraught with Danger.

Some researchers who have entered the Rift returned claiming they were somewhere high above Novia looking down upon it, while others have not returned at all! Not letting the dangers stop them, the researchers pressed on..

Announcing the Bastion’s Point Lunar Rift Chronometer. Never again miss your destination window to far off lands. Bastion's Point truly is the Window to all of New Britainia, and only minutes from wherever you are!

Research indicates large seismic fluctuations in the Lunar Core that suggest additional destinations *may* still be available beyond what we can access now. These destinations may be able to take us to lands even farther then what we know is possible now. With that in mind we have built the Chronometer for celestial expansion and are prepared to make those adjustments when needed.

INSTRUCTIONS:

There are currenly 3 functioning Lunar Rifts in New Britainia, each in one of the three starting locations in Novia, Solace Bridge, Blood River and Highvale. These Lunar Rifts are not always on and functioning. They turn on and off based on changes in the phase of New Britainia's Moon. What we do know is, all of the Lunar Rifts are linked and when they are ON, the destination is the same no matter which Rift you enter **.

The Lunar Rift Chronometer will display, in minutes, when the Destination will be active for each of the known Rifts. If one of the Rifts are currently active, the Chronometer will display how long that Rift will remain open before closing.

You can always double-check your Rift Destination before entering it by hovering your mouse over the Blue Rift.

( **Note: Entering the Rift FROM the Destination Location when the Destination Rift is Active will Teleport you BACK to The Isle of Storms where you began the game. Why it does this is still beyond our knowledge. You can return by re-entering the Rift.)

- Adjusted/Tested in Multiple Time zones (We are Eastern)
- Might have to adjust when Daylight Time ends. Did testing, but you never know.
- Added Destination Names for each Rift Location - Might be helpful for some.
- Added a Comment Box for concerns/questions.
- Did as much research and testing as we could to make sure it was as accurate as possible, however as with anything else, we built it for fun as game helper app. Hopefully it works for all of you as well.

You know, once we had this working and in BETA, I was surprised how much I simply changed my game-play around it. I would check the time till Blood River, and then work some ingots, or other refining until I had about 3 min left, then I would hit the Rift to travel. When mining, I would harvest till i got tired, then open the app and see when the Rift is opening and continue till there was 5min or so. Its been nice avoiding the control points and cost of scrolls. It just takes a little planning and adjusting.

 

Thank you! I hadn't taken the time yet to sit down and figure out the details of when the rift opened for which gate. I will definitely use your chronometer!

It is absolutely amazing what the citizens of New Britannia come up with. I am amazed every day!

I like it... So, how do I get one?

 

Its just a Web Page that counts down to the Rift Openings. You never know, Perhaps the Kobold's have an in-game version of their own we've yet to come across..

 

Release 1.2 - Time Sync Again.

From what I can tell, it seems the game servers do not sync with the cloud as far as time goes because there seems to be fluctuations on days like daylight savings and major outages where the sync becomes off by up to ~30 seconds. Not sure there is a way to programatically fix that, so for now I will just adjust it by hand periodically.

As of 4/4/17 is seems to be matching up pretty good again.

Not dead, was just busy and missed the rent deadline. The Rift is flowing again. All is well.
