Before I bug it - reason blank paper doesn't stack?

Hi folks,

Is there an particular reason why when I buy a stack of blank paper that when it transfers to my Inventory it appears singly?

because the object can only be flagged to have one behavior and you can't have sheets of paper that are written on stack, as they are most likely not identical.

 

Indeed, much like beer casks, that's what I suspected, but wondered if blank 'behaved the same'. You've explained it - many thanks.

 

I never understood this because they are "blank" sheets of paper. Of course they wouldn't stack when written to but at first, they're blank!

 

They should let us have a craftable leather folder to keep these paper.

Never understood it too. Can’t there be a logic when item count is one, it’s writable.

 

because it's not a different item once it's written on. it's a sheet of paper either way. it can only be flagged for one behavior.

 

Except it stacks on the merchant.

 

so do bundles of reagents, but you can't use them like that and they're autoconverted when you buy them.

 

@Nick may well have come up with the solution. Yes they will fly apart in your Inv, but put them in a small bag, rename it 'Sheets of Paper' and it's down to one Inv slot, hopefully.
