    Greetings All -

I can not repair my beloved Vanduul Polearm!

When I apply a repair kit to it from my inventory...game responds with ""Benefactors Vanduul Polearm can not be repaired with a Repair Kit - Blacksmithing". I have not tried any other kits (those being Carpentry/Tailor)...because it just seems silly for those to work. Perhaps I am being silly for not trying!

Current durability is 14/75...I no longer dare us it, and do not want to start another weapon line (perhaps that is being silly also) I have tried to use a black smith table to repair it (using a blacksmith repair kit)...this did not work. As well as combination of tongs/hammers

Any idea's would be appreciated :)

You need a Carpentry Repair kit, Carpentry Hammer and Carpentry station to raise the max durability to 100, then you need carpentry repair kits to repair it fully in your inventory. :)

There was a bug in the early release. It has been fixed and patched now. So try again with Kara Brae's recipe.

The Vanduul Polearm is repaired by the carpentry repair kit. I suppose it's because the shaft of the polearm is made of wood.

What I wouldn't mind... is that it be made very powerful and changed to metal, so that a blacksmith could attempt a repair. But without that particular alloy, they can never fully repair it. Which makes it that much more special when you actually decided to use it. The risk of permanent loss.

I like that idea, perhaps not for a addon or pledge reward item but for something we can find somewhere,

Good idea, Hope they add something like this in :)

The inability to repair some items won't fly, because:

    1. some items are pledge rewards - people paid real money for them, and expect them to keep working
    2. exempting those items would create accusations of "pay to win"

Much easier to avoid the whole situation and make everything always repairable.

I agree with you concerning pledge items but the idea for something we can find in game would be interesting and fun as it would put another reason for players to go around and enter different zones and areas to perhaps find a special weapon. we actually have now but just not a really special powerful weapon ( Perhaps one that can take down a Troll with one or 2 hits ) that would decay quickly without the possibility of repair.

I would be pretty ticked off if a pledge item broke and was unrecoverable. Maybe if it goes down to 1 durability, and can't be equipped until repaired
