Almost gm’ed tailor, so I’m ready to craft my own armor. At this moment, I’m a pure archer with a tiny amount of hot air.... hahah, I mean wind spec. I was checking out the various modifiers for different leather armor, and was considering fortified supple leather chest, boots, gloves, helm and epic supple legs for the weapons crit bonus. But would hardened be better for the weapons damage?

Yeah bone is cool, but it’s not Cleome. Once I chose my set, then the fun part... picking the patterns to make a unique look!!

    What do you think?

Bone is definitely the way to go if you can. You can still apply patterns to make it look like whatever leather set you want.

If you go pure leather, hardened seems to be better than supple. Crits can be impressive, but are a smaller percentage of overall damage than expected. Either way, the harder part will be getting the enchants/masterworks you like than getting the suit made.

Go for hardened leather ....crit chance is so random now ..better have constant damage increase to depend on then a crit chance that fails to come when need it.

Here’s a question- do all the crafted components in an item need to be exceptional? Does it really make a difference? Clearly on the finally product... but does each component-white iron ingot, hardened leather, yard of hardened leather, hardened leather strap- need to be exceptional?

Exceptionals on components only give you more exp, they arent different from non-exceptional components

I use hardened leather, constantan bindings and fustian cloth straps in the following pieces:
    • Leather Helm
    • Epic Leather Chest Armor
    • Epic Leather Leggings
    • Fortified Leather Gloves
    • Fortified Leather Boots
Which, in total, gives the following benefits:
    • +8.4 dodge
    • +21.8% damage
    • +200 focus
I'm not enchanting or masterworking anything (yet).
