When using physical damage/weapons, if you put on the fireflies, you notice your crits are bigger. Its a noticeable effect, and it lasts a good long while, so can't go wrong with stacking it up and putting it on something if you expect its going to take more than few hits to kill it.

I've never really seen the benefit of blind (and I'm a sun specialist, who has it at 120 for attunement purposes).
It makes a debuff icon on the mob for a bit and then it goes away. I've never noticed any sort of visible improvement for having blinded a target, even when hitting said target with a weapon, as opposed to just using another stacked free attack or pressing another skill button instead. Perhaps the RNG makes this difficult to see, who knows. Mostly only use this if I'm fighting 'big stuff' in a group, and even then, things dont seem to die any faster for having been kept blinded the entire time. I'm sure its doing something, but my general rule of thumb is if I don't notice a debuff doing anything, I'm better off just shooting the mob again.

May be this would be worth a question to @Chris or a bug report - I also wondered about ... ;)

Too high level maybe? :p When I first tried it out (blind), I was able to take out the hardened elves using less hits. Perhaps because my damage is in double digits, the impact becomes more obvious. hehe.

Its possible - I haven't done like, extensive testing with the damage parser or anything on it which is why I've never bugged it. Its something that my perception is: it isn't helping me, so I'll do something else. I hear other people say great things about it. Mainly chimed in here because quite often we tell people "yes, you need to use this skill" but depending on a lot of factors and nuances, ...maybe not.

Its kinda like, if you have to execute 5 skills to kill a target.
If you cast blind, and it only takes 2 more skills - then use blind.
If you cast blind, and then it only takes 4 skills - then you might as well have just used 5 skills.
If you cast blind, and it still takes you 5 skills to kill the target, then blind may be helping but its not making enough of a difference to spend the time.
The last is the scenario for me, which is why I'll use it in a scenario where multiple people are hitting a large target, because "it may be doing something" but never if I'm solo because there's no (perceived) purpose.

Wise words. Gotta pen it in. Book is not for advanced players, any tips will be good. :)

Another question, does blind make you get hit by the mobs less (more misses)? and make the mobs hurt you less?

*edit. I kinda forgot I had the answer*

"Blind lowers the targets dex and avoidance making it so they dont get as many or any at all glancing blows AND better chance for you to physically crit them as your crit chance is dependent on your dex vs your targets dex so lowering their dex will help you crit."

    Thank you Mac!

I think a lot of mobs just don't have enough dexterity or damage avoidance for it to really make any difference, especially if you have alread used Blinding Shot on the mob.
