Shouldnt these weapons have different stats ? If they both serve same function ...make pattern for one and remove it...or give them different functions ?

You have forgotten completely the axes. But yeah @Elrond, there must be differences like hammers can deal a small chance of stun by default or hammers with the ability of reducing defense. Maybe that thing is a hard work, but I agree with your post.

I didnt forget axes ... i didnt post them because they seem to be the only weap now that doesnt have the poison penalty in the bludgeon tree....so there is a variation there... but shh..maybe they change theyre minds.

I agree. There are pros and cons to longswords vs shortsword vs daggers. I was a little surprised to see the 3 bludgeon weapon variations were identical.

As a side note, not that I'd ever hit things with a wand, but....there's no damage increase on them, but they did get the -poison debuff.

Oh I see. Well, in that case, yes, both weapons must have different effects and not completely a replica with just an aesthestic difference... omg

Logically a log stick with a big mass of metal on the end should have the same effect unless the stick is longer (more leverage so harder hit), more metal (hits harder but speed is decreased). Poison decrease is due to a blunt hit versus a penetrating hit. Of course it would be cool to have a spiked hammer!

One handed is right with same effects as 2 handed except for less damage (shorter stick so less leverage and smaller metal mass) and better critical chance (easier to wield and faster)

Axes do not have the poison de-buff because it penetrates.
