Those are indeed legit reasons to kill other players; personal gain has been always the primary reason for ruthless people to kill other and take their belognings. But being evil, being the antagonist, it's a role that many players want to play and those players deserve a better reason to fight than just personal gain. After all, real antagonists are people with high (and dark ideals).

There is a frame for this already there, its just that it wasn't filled.
    • The Oracle protect Avatars from killing each other. Why? it's because there are something against what they are not prepared? it's because she's able to somehow "keep them under control" while protecting them?
    • You can ask the protection to be removed. Why? is it an act of Valor? is it an act of defiance?
    • Currently unflagged players can attack flagged players. Why? is it an act of treason? are they defending the realm against "rogue avatars"?
    • Flagged players can fight wherever they want and Novians doesn't even blink an eye. Should guards prevent this fights? Are this fights deemed as something beyond their grasp and should let them be? How novians should react against violent avatars that initiate fights in towns?
This whole Flag-Unflag thing has lots of potential to develop an immersive and meaningful PVP environment. It just needs to be pushed forward from the whole stats and charts. Those are cool, but in a meaningless environment you are just the champion on killing people. In a meaningful frame you could be the defender of the realm, or the scourge of an specific zone, or the Doombringer.

That's the kind of PVP environment i expected from this game (and since we are in continuous development, i'm still expecting).
