Congrats Zeke! Well deserved on both awards.
I'm very proud to be a member of an organization that has such a well respected leader!
Well... I was probably more respected before I got that 4 bottles of wine in me...
Fully stocked player crafted metal armor with another vendor type coming soon at my brand new shop, The Greenhouse Effect.
Come on by and check out my wares; I am located halfway along the commercial district of Market Road: The Greenhouse Effect at Market Road.
For the love of Lord British can someone from your Guild tell your member NumberFour to QUIT macroing chain lightening in the middle of Owls Head! Take it in indoors and save us all the lag and noise!
The BMC has created a Press agent tag on it's website and has assigned the tag to 3 people registered on the BMC Website. Lazarus Long (NBNN), Amber Raine (Avatars Radio), and Jack Frost (NBNN)
Anyone that is a Press agent that reports Shroud of the Avatar news can register on the BMC Website and then email me directly to request to be added to the tag. All tagged Press agents will receive this form from the BMC Website when it is submitted.
@Duke Ezekiel Cooper
What is the purpose of the tag and why would reporters want it? *curious*
If you have a press release you would like to get out on the SotA community media channels, it provides you a shortcut to having to contact each station individually.
"Whoever controls the media, controls the mind."
So it is for people who are signed up on the BMC website and want to spread News to the reporters signed up on the BMC website. Did I get that right?
I cannot confirm if it requires joining the site, I would imagine being on Enjin is good enough. And I don't think taking advantage of having a diverse group of people signed up on our enjin hosted page to provide a shortcut for contact is so bad. Nearly every news contact will have original contact info elsewhere, and most will have threads here on the SotA forums as well. However, I've found it convenient being able to filter out information occasionally (there are vast swaths of the forums here I have never read!) and if anyone else does then great!
Personally, I also would be tickled if I got to report on "breaking news" on Avatars Radio from an original source. But that's just me.
Who mentioned anything about this being bad?
I think the opposite must be assumed. Someone put effort into that so they must have thought it to be good for something.
I'm just trying to figure out how it works and the possible benefits and use cases of it.
I answer a lot of questions on these forums and give out a lot of advice. So for me knowing how it works means I might forward that info to people who might benefit from it. Like you say most posters read only a fraction of the forum so pointing people in the right direction is useful. Can't do that if I don't know the use case.
We're fortunate to have representatives from a variety of media streams as website members, and have invited anyone in the community that would like to participate to join in.
