    Hi folks,

It doesn't have to be the whole page, this is in fact page 1 of 6! I just want to know if this page from a book is relevant to a side quest or a puzzle..

I picked this book up of a cool looking altar up after a battle through an Obsidian Keep, overrun by undead and Satyrs and a final fight with a Lich and his minions. It seems a bit of an anticlimax if its meaningless. Its also non Deco.

Can you copy/paste into a text editor? I'm not sure if that will work, but my small attempts at publishing books makes me think it will. You can select runic there, and whatever you type appears in runic, so in theory, copying it and pasting it into a text editor will change the text to whatever font you select. (You might have to select the text after pasting and change the font manually.)

No idea if this will work, mind you. It's never occurred to me to try, and I'm at work right now.

It is not clear to me if you are looking for a translation or if you already know what the book says and just want a clue as to whether the book is important or not. I don't know if the book has any particular meaning for the game, but as far as I can tell the page says:

    nor is it to be
    thought...that man is
    either the oldest or the
    last of earths masters.
    or that the common bulk
    of life and substance
    walks alone. the old ones
    were, the old ones are.
    and the old ones shall
be. not in the spaces we
    know, but between them
    they walk serene and
    primal. undimensioned and

Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.

Wow, thanks folks. Yea I was indeed @Kara Brae looking for a straight forward translation, but now i'm intrigued. What on earth is an H.P.Lovecraft monster doing in Runic in an Obsidian temple?

Kinda on topic, are there people who translate the runic books in the game, and sell these translated books?

If so, kindly point me to these Vendors and I will be off to get some books.

There are a number of Lovecaft Easter eggs lying around. A couple of the death oriented ones have been changed slightly in regards to quests. (Tower, for instance.)

    Edit?: fixed autocorrect.

Don't paste every page of runic you see in the game on the forums. warning you now.

Also, one of the forum members has a runic translation guide in his signature, I forget who.
