In previous releases, Wooden Storage Chests did fit on a Wall Shelf (both carpentry recipes). That is an important feature to clean up your crafting rooms, and also had been used in quite some advanced decos.
This release it seems not be possible anymore. I tried several times, taking time to carefully position the chest on the shelf, no success. It had been difficult before, like 'only one correct position', but no success at all this release.
Note: Trunks still can be placed on a shelf.

Steps to Reproduce:
Craft a Wall Shelf and a Wooden Storage Chest (carpentry).
Place the shelf on any free wall at hand a stone basement wall.
Try to place the chest on the shelf. Good luck.

Update: Several tries and walls later: The wall seems to be the important part.
In a house (Wood & Plaster, Duke Keep) it works as before. In a Stone basement with the rough wall seemingly not anymore.

I tried it over and over again here:
Area: Village Stone 5-Story Basement (BasementSceneDungeonVillage_5Floor) Loc: (11.8, 5.0, 7.1)

Moved the wall shelf around, tried standing at various angles for better positioning - no chance, the Wooden Storage Chest does not even shortly flash green, it stays red, not placeable.
