Cannot turn in quest

I cannot complete ANY quests becuse I cannot turn in any quest items. Horatio the Guard won't let me give him the Elven Sniper Bow. He asks, did you kill the sniper over and over again. I cannot do nothing. The item is in my inventory. I cannot give to him or complete quest. He asks for item over and freaking over again.

So, I find another quest: Svens Blue Best. I kill beast and get new inventory item. I go back to Sven and he asks You killed bleu beast over and over again.

How in the hell do I finish quest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Did you try typing in the chat window to the NPC? You could type bow, or blue beast.
It's been a long time since I've done those quests. If those don't work you may need to /bug it.
I was watching someone on Twitch doing a different quest, the guy wouldn't talk to him so he exited the game and re-opened it, then it worked.

I'm glad they are re-doing the quest system for Episode 2.

 

How are you doing this? You are supposed to get the NPC started with the right keyword, then the special NPC item trade window will come up. Quest items should be in a yellowish color near the end of the list, it should override their hidden status in your normal inventory window.

 

I started this game a few months back. Did tutorial and waited for a friend to join.

Now 2 months later I continued and can not complete any quests that require giving an item.
Not obsidian elf sniper bow (to horatio in highvale outskirts)
Not gawain's amulet (to brigid in Resolute
My friend did the same quests and he had an inventory window pop open
For me the npc just doesn't recognize I have the item.
He just asks me if I killed the elf or if I have the amulet respectively.

I tried an option from a forum post somewhere of unchecking npc closeups but that didnt help.

I was under the impression a restart of the game was required (I had a friend who relogged several times, but it wasn't fixed until he restarted ... that might just be coincidental).

 

I had that happen to me just to days ago with the elf sniper bow in highvale outskirts, and had to do a restart, yes sorry not relog. Messed up my highvale outskirts video . I'll get the video made on quest reset.

 

I relogged and restarted after changing that option for close up npc to off. It actually did fix the next session.
Was able to give items for quests.

 

Walk away till the chat window closes and then approach the NPC and try the key word again.
That works often times for me ~Time Lord~

 

In my situation (now fixed) walking away never did help. The bug stayed consistent on all item turn in quests across multiple cities

 

What I noticed is this happens if your internet connection goes off 1 second and client doesnt detect it, so it is usually stuck into something. Only time I had something like that is when my router DCed and reloged in 1-2 seconds and everything connected detected it in time except for discord and sota. After relogging it was ok

Also my brother on satellite wonky internet was having real quest problems.

I believe the answer to some of these bugs may be in how the dialog box handles internet issues.

 

At least 1 instance of issue is not interney related. I was on very fast healthy connection. And it occurred multiple tomes even after restarting and zoning to new areas
