Castle and Keep walls

It would be great if it was optional whether to build the new ones manually, or simply using the old pre-built ones.

Additionally, there are some issues with using the new wall-blocks to build with. The area we can place things on is smaller than where the old pre-built wall was placed. As such it is not possible to manually place a gate that connects directly to the paved entrance outside of the lot, like the old pre-built gate and wall was.

 

I just tried t o place on a city lot. Had to take Duke house out to place front gate. So I started to build and having hard time trying to line them up, cant put Tower corners in and when I get all the way around, I have a gap I cant fill. I also spent a lot of time trying to just get what I got done. I wish it was one pre-built section based on the size of the lot and just drop or place when green within the lot size. I like the look, but very hard to place. Wish there was an easier way.

 

So they're just like other walls in that it's impossible to get them placed correctly.

 

@Lord Barugon I will say I guess so. I didn't place any other fence pieces in game before this. I will try and mess with it over the weekend. If I can get it to work, then maybe I can somehow get a "How to..." Video put together. But I may need a How To Video to record a How To Video since I have never done one before.

 

I tried to place the castle wall on a duke lot and had no luck. Has anyone been successful? Any tricks to making it work?

Here ist one example with large entrances at front and back, 4 edge wall towers, 4 wall towers. Tricks, hmm, dont know.

 

That looks great! My problem is with the small gate at the back of my keep. I can't seem to make it fit there.

If you want to use the small gate you have to use the edges without tower.

FWIW, I was able to place a wall using both gates. They are a little touchy and moody though... lol. Best of luck!

 

I liked the pre-built ones much better. Switches to open the particulars, stairs, be able to be seen from a mile away.

Please make that an option too.

In this release I signed in and saw my castle walls missing. Then Saw them in the bank box and said "oh crap"!! I have a static town.

 

@Senash Kasigal is that a Keep or Castle lot you placed that on in your pics?

I agree with this.
I built a little "castle" on a city lot just to try it - while fun I would have preferred the pre-built wall solution.

Sure.
The walls are at the very edges of the city lot, inside is a Knight Marshal house.
Building it in this manual way feels like it will be an adventure for the Keep and Castle lots, especially if the walls are torn down if I change the house.
