Chako's River Tavern & General Store is hosting fishing contest in Cassiopeia!

Get your gear ready, Novia! Chako's River Tavern and General Store is thrilled to host a thrilling, one-time-only fishing competition on the Cassiopeia river! This is your chance to test your skill, compete for prizes, and enjoy an afternoon of fun and good company by the water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-time fisher, come join us for a memorable day!

We are excited to host this event in Cassiopeia on December 20th from 12:00 pm (PST) to 2:00 pm (PST) to catch the largest fish!

Rules:

• Fishers must turn in Water-Type Fish caught in Cassiopeia.
• All fish submissions must show the event date and game date.
• Participants are permitted to fish in any public water location within the town limits.
• Fish submissions must be placed into the dedicated Alter Lockbox, known as the 'Drop Box' at Chako's River Tavern and General Store village lot in Cassiopeia.
• Participants may turn in multiple fish. HOWEVER, one fish per real-world participant will qualify for prizes—no double-dipping in any way, including but not limited to submissions by avatar alts.
• In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the fish that was turned in earliest.

• Thank you to Knightrider's donation on December 20, 2025. IGG prizes added.

The official fishing event hub is at Chako's River Tavern and General Store located at the Town Sign marked Chako's Rose Garden.

Prizes are on visual display at this location in bags clearly indicating the prize tier within the 'Drop Box,' which is an Alter Lockbox at Chako's River Tavern & General Store entrance taking the town sign: Chako's Rose Garden.

Got some questions though...... What is the water type in Cassiopeia? Are we looking to catch the largest fish or are there other criteria to win? What happens when I turn in 2 fish: 1 aimed to win "1st prize" and one to aim for "smallest fish", will you discard one before judging? Are we allowed to fish in dungeons or lava pools or only in open water?

Thank you for the clarification questions! The contest is for the largest fish! The water type is currently freshwater. Participants can fish in ANY location in the town. Participants can turn in fish in attempts to win "1st prize" and "smallest fish," but just can't win both currently.

 

So - Pacific Standard Time? That would be + 8 hour for the European Untion, so 12 + 8 so 20.00 EU time today?

Or from now in 6,5 hours?

 

The event is in PST. The time converter I used stated that the event starts 9pm CET. I hope that helps.

 

Hello Novians!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our fishing event! The turnout was more than I imagined! We had at least 15 participants join us! It was a total pleasure hosting all of you.

I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve already received our first donation for the next one! I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on the dates. My goal for the next event is to iron out a few wrinkles and make the prizes even bigger. See you at the water!
